My 10x Mental Productivity Hack

Reading Time: 3 minutes

The human mind is truly extraordinary. The reason for all our successes is capable of shaping our reality and influencing our overall well being. And just like the importance of physical fitness to live a better, more fulfilling life, mental fitness is also one of the most important aspects of our lives. Even a 15-minute walk in the morning can refresh your mind. And if practiced over a long period of time, these small activities can help you become a happier, more peaceful and satisfied individual.

I’ve often emphasised an opinion that mental fitness is actually far more important to maintain than physical fitness. Constantly training my brain has actually helped me overcome far greater challenges than I could have imagined. Here are some key aspects that constant mental activity can help you master:

Doubles Your Cognitive Ability

Training your mind can tremendously improve your attention span, ability to focus, and your retention level. Therefore, it becomes important for one to find ways to participate in regular mental exercises. They could be anything that stimulates your brain (solving puzzles, listening to good music, playing chess or sudoku etc.) As we grow older, our ability to remain as sharp as we used to be waning, so it is of utmost importance that we begin embracing these activities in our daily lives. You need to build up that reserve mental strength to support you in the second half of your life.

Builds Emotional Resilience

Human life is surrounded by ups and downs. It’s never going to pan out just the way you want it to. There will always be disappointments that end up tackling you. So, to make sure you don’t falter, and be able to face these challenges and be able to overcome them in a manner in which they don’t feel as scary as they used to, it becomes important to train your mind.

Better Your Productivity

Your mind is your greatest tool. The level you train it to, the pressure you subject it to, and the way you race it to rescue yourself from those pressures are going to determine just how far you go in life. Challenging it to do better is a sure shot way to get better at the tasks you attempt, and to eventually achieve better things in life.

Okay! We’ve learnt the benefits; now time to learn about the how-to’s. Believe it or not, training your mind is actually not as hard as you might think. The trick is to focus on the right activities:

Reading And Listening

The one motto I believe everyone should live their life by: Be a lifelong learner.

And what better way to learn than to read and listen to the greats of our world? There have been many legendary artists, businessmen, scientists, and discoverers in our world. Reading and listening about what they did, how they did it, and how you could possibly become as good as them, in your own field, is a guaranteed way to train your brain to become better, more sharper.

Meditation And Mindfulness

Meditation is simple, but not easy. It requires a lot of concentration and patience to actually master. However, even if you struggle with it in the beginning, simply trying to sit and focusing on your breathing can also help you gradually improve your concentration. The good thing about meditation is that you can do it anywhere, and there are no hard and fast protocols to follow. It’s what makes the art of meditation so special and so effective.

Conclusion

The importance of training your brain cannot be overstated. By prioritising mental fitness, you can unlock your true potential. The greatest minds of humanity are the ones that truly achieved their full potential, which is why they achieved, invented, and remembered to the degree they are today. Embracing mental fitness is thus a fantastic manner to pave the way for a happier, more peaceful, and more successful life.
