Double Your Productivity In 30 Days With These 5 Steps

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Enthusiasm is contagious. People who truly love what they’re doing, spread that excitement, that positivity and productivity towards their team as well, contributing towards creating a positive work environment. Although one aspect people continuously miss out on, is how although people can be enthusiastic about one concept or action, they can totally be uninterested in another. What they’re currently working on, determines the energy levels they’re operating within.

Have you ever noticed how Virat Kohli jumps in the air as soon as India takes a wicket? That is enthusiasm. That’s motivation. Virat is excited about what he’s doing, he wants to win, and he’s willing to go to great lengths to achieve it.

Now, the process of consistently maintaining that enthusiasm is actually quite tricky. It’s not easy to be on your 100%, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. But it is possible. How? Let’s find out:

Finding A Purpose

How do you expect to be excited about a task if it’s not going to act as a building block towards helping you reach your dreams? Even the failures you may face act as a learning curve, a catalyst towards your growth. Each failure is an opportunity to grow. J.K. Rowling was rejected 12 times by different publishers trying to get the first Harry Potter book published. But did she give up?

No. She persevered. She struggled. And only then she succeeded. Her enthusiasm, her motivation, her attitude of never giving up stemmed from her purpose and vision of writing about her dream project. Your purpose is what drives you to continue moving forward, no matter how many times you fall down.

Understand The Why

Why was J.K. Rowling so eager to publish her book? Because she wanted to be a writer. But, why? Why only a writer? Why not an actor, a musician, a dancer, or even a director? To be truly enthusiastic about something, you need to know why you want what you want. Your actions must be aligned with your vision, and that’s only possible when you truly know yourself and know what it is that you want.

Find The Resources

What do you need to be able to achieve your goals? What is it that will 3x your growth the moment you start applying it? Identifying the resources, the tools or the activities you need to begin your journey towards your growth is an important task to accomplish to be able to be successful.

Don’t Just Plan – Act

1000s of people plan, but only 10 of them actually get up and take action. Taking action takes guts because there is a possibility that everything you do could be for nothing. Life is unfair. But, if you’re truly enthusiastic about something, the failures won’t deter you from your journey. The motivation to get back up is what’s going to make all the difference.

Don’t Forget To Party!

Celebrating success is as important as working days and nights to witness your dreams being fulfilled. Recognizing your achievements and efforts is important. So, if you’re working on your dreams, taking one step forward each day, give yourself a pat on the back. You deserve it!

Conclusion

If you ask me, being an enthusiastic person is synonymous with being a successful person. It helps you focus on creating solutions rather than crib about the cruelties of life. It helps you grow, it helps you learn. It makes you happy. And being happy is what makes life worth living.
